As a child I jumped from sport to sport never specialising in anything. I dabbled in gymnastics, trampolining, athletics, boxing, MMA and ice hockey, achieving success in none! Alongside these sports, I’d tag along to an old school ‘grit and spit’ bodybuilding gym with my dad. The hours of endlessly training arms with my dad, jumping from one obscure sport to another ignited a passion and curiosity to know more about health and fitness.
Throughout my degree in Sport and Exercise Science, I developed an understanding in all aspects of health & performance, with a specific bias towards nutrition. Upon graduating and moving home, I threw myself headfirst into the amazing but mental world of CrossFit. Training at my local box quickly turned into a little bit of coaching which turned into a lot of coaching. Over time, I began coaching CrossFit Kids, dawn box, inductions, tasters and my own PT clients. During this, I also worked at a primary school as a special needs teaching assistant, working one to one with children with autism.
I have seen the life-changing influence that CrossFit can have and enjoy coaching all aspects of it. My particular interests is in children’s health and fitness, movement skill/development, programming and endurance training. I’m committed to being the best coach, mentor and friend that I can be and I am thankful that CFN is the place I get to do that!
