From a young age I have always been active and always strived to be constantly challenged both physically and mentally. Growing up, I was a keen swimmer and dancer but also went on to play netball and hockey whilst studying at university. After my studies I needed a new focus and decided to set some new goals; one which was to compete in the Robin Hood half marathon which then led to me competing in the London Marathon followed by two sprint triathlons. One thing was missing though, training alongside other people and that team support, which led me to look at what CrossFit had to offer. I still remember doing the taster session and being so nervous yet super excited about doing something that I knew was going to give me the consistent challenge I needed. I was blown away and in awe of all the athletes I met at CFN that day and I knew straight away it was something I wanted to be a part of. The amount of support I have had over the years, not just with my training, but also on a personal level too, has given me the drive to achieve many things I never thought I could. I have taken part in two team events since being a member at CFN alongside competing in several bikini bodybuilding competitions this year, which would not have been possible without the amazing support of the coaches and members at CFN. I hope that I can offer the same level of support to those who walk into the box; be it for people that a new to CrossFit, those who have moved to the area as well as those who have now become a part of the CFN furniture!
I will be at the box every Thursday evening and I am happy to answer any questions you have about membership, information about upcoming seminars, along side any social events we have coming up. Always happy to make drinks and generally there for anyone wanting a chat or a listening ear.
